Outdoor Trips

Trading a hunting or fishing trip:

This page at Adirondack Sporting Goods is going to be dedicated to trading cheap hunting trips or fishing trips among members where as 2 different parties can trade a hunting trip or fishing trip with one  another.

Say  one person can exchange a deer hunt in his home state in exchange for maybe a bear or elk hunt in another persons home state. We will also offer you a page to book a hunt with many different hunting guides.

Economic benefits

When I mention cheap, I do not mean cheap in quality, I mean cheap in price. It would be a way for sportsman to save lots of money that would normally be involved in such trips. It could be any combination of trips hunting or fishing, the parties would decide among themselves.

I think the page could be open to kayakers and campers as well. My goal here is to bring passionate sportsman together for fun times and possibly save the individual costs that would be associated with trips like these. And to bring the individual a pleasurable safe shopping experience for hunting products and fishing products at such stores as Cabelas, Gander Mt. and Bass Pro to name a few.  I am excited about getting this program started.

The only way this will work is if people get involved. In the comment box below please list where and what you would like to hunt or fish for in exchange for what you have to offer another another outdoorsman and see if we can build a list of exchange trips for everyone to enjoy. I will then list this here on the main page. Just Get involved in the comment box below!!!!

  1. Hey Mike, I think this is a great idea. Letting people swap trips from one state or area to another.

I have never been hunting before but I could offer a fishing trip with my boat. I’m sure there are some trips I would be interested in exchanging for.

I would be also interested in different camping sites.

    1. Hey Jeremy!!! Where ya from. We do alot of turkey hunting and bass fishing here In Pennsylvania. Although it really is a mecca of big game and small game hunting and all sorts of fishing. I also would be interested in swapping a trip myself. Stay in touch with my site. I wouldn’t mind swapping some small mouth bass fishing for a turkey hunt in another part of the country. Thanks for the positive feedback Jeremy!!

  2. Hey Mike,
This sounds like an interesting concept. I’m not a hunter but have many friends and a son who are.
Aren’t licenses and tags unique to the individual? Would a WY elk tag be valid for a person in PA and visa versa?

I have friends who go to CO and WY elk and deer hunting. Some go to NE and the Dakotas for pheasant.
Texas, my state and IL where my son hunts are both over run with deer.

I hope you can get this site up and going in the manner you hope.

    Dennis

    1. Thanks Dennis, I think this is going to fun !!!! I believe all states licenses are unique to their own state. I have never seen a license from one state being valid for another state. As far as I know Each state has a resident and non-resident license program, then each species is broken down by their own specified license for each. My goal here to have some fun with some sportsman, and save costs associated with trips such as these. I have no doubt I can make this work. Just have to learn more and keep studying. Thanks for Positive feedback. Mike

  3. I think you are headed in the right direction with the site, I can’t wait to come back when you have more info on the trading of hunting trips. I have been wanting to get a trip together for a while now. Good luck with your business and hope to read more from you soon.

    1. Thanks Joe, I really enjoy your feed back. Please stop back sometime in the future and and this page should be alot more developed by then. Thanks Mike

  4. Growing up in a state where the opening day of the deer hunt seems like a state holiday. I like your blog and find it really interesting. I like your idea of Hunting swaps, to book a hunting trip. I look forward to seeing your fishing and hunting products. Also, reading your product reviews, what you like, what you don’t, and what works for you.

  5. Thanks Mary, Pa. is much the same way. First day of deer is a holliday I think. LOL The schools are even closed. Makes for a long Thanksgiving vacation since first day is always the first Monday after Thanksgiving. Thanks for your input and stop by again. Thanks Mike

  6. great page so far. I love the picture of the turkey you’re holding. I like where you are going with this page. I have been to your site before and left comments on another article and I will be back in the future to see how this page develops from here. Again great topics and articles. I enjoy reading your reviews, advice, assessments, etc.

  8. Hey Mike,
This sounds like an interesting concept. I’m a Coyote hunter and I have friends and a son who are.
We have hunted in several states but never hunted it PA, my state, KY where my son and I hunt have a lot of Coyotes.
I hope you can get this site up and going in the manner you hope. How about some hunting pictures on you site? Maybe like a slide show.
